In 1990, an US appliance company, in cooperation with the vac company starts a production system development project for Silica based vacuum insulation panels (VIP).

In 1991, the first VIP production system was shipped from the vac company to the US customer. 

In 1994, the first VIP systems using Polyurethane foam was developed and build by the vac company. 

In 1996, the vac company developed and designed the first full automatic VIP mass production system using Polyurethane foam. End of 1996 commercial VIP production starts on this first full automatic VIP line.. 

In 2000, the vac company moved to it new facilities of 2500 m² in Westerkappeln-Velpe and start the development and production of automatic VIP productions systems using pre-pressed silica as filler material. 

Since 2001, a large number of this new VIP production machines have been developed and build by the vac company for different European and oversees VIP manufacturers. 

Today’s main businesses of the vac company are customized full automatic VIP production lines.
